A subdomain is basically a subdirectory or folder created under the primary Domain account which is a fully operating Web site with its own username and password and account. The main benefit of a subdomain is that it doesn't require domain name registration and fees that are associated with a full Domain Name.

What are domain name pointers? Do you support them?

A Domain Name Pointer is a Domain Name that redirects a web site visitor to another Web location, so that your site could have two names, for instance - hostingc.com and hostingc.net. Yes! You may have a domain name, yourdomain.com, reserved for yourself or your company. When signing up for our web hosting service you may request that Web Rhino register your domain name.

Web Rhino is happy to assit our customers in transfering your domain name to our servers. If you are having trouble transfering your domain name to us, please send our support team an support@webrhino.net and someone will be glad to assist you.

Can Web Rhino register and host International domain names?
Yes! Web Rhino can register your domain with any valid extension. All domain names will work with Web Rhino web hosting accounts.

How much is domain registration?
Web Rhino may register your domain for $15.00/year, Network Solutions charges $35.00/year. If you would like us to register your domain please send us an email to support@webrhino.net

How long does it take before my domain name is active?
Generally it takes between 24 and 72 hours. Once your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), Internet providers around the world must update their records to reflect the new site's location. This process, sometimes called replication, takes place for all domain name registrations or transfers.

How do I know my domain registration/transfer has gone through?
You will know that the registration or transfer of your domain has gone through when your browser displays "Welcome to your yourdomain.com". You may also find out if your domain has been transfered by doing a "whois" on your domain. Point your browser to whois lookup enter your domain in the text box, once it does the look up scroll to the bottom and you will see the new DNS name servers.
